TORONTO – July 4, 2021: Canada stood today at 1,416,942 positives for Covid-19, an increase of 641 more cases than in the previous 24 hours. The number of victims – nationwide – reached 26,360 total deaths, 19 more than Saturday. In Canada the number of recovered people from the coronavirus stood at 1,384,396. (more…)
TORONTO – Now it’s the Delta variant that’s scary. In communities as well as in nursing and long-term care homes. And it is precisely this strain – which is more than twice as transmissible as the first forms of the virus – that is responsible for an outbreak of Covid-19 that broke out at The Village of Tansley Woods in Burlington. With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 15.5 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. On July 4, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered 196,068 vaccine doses on Saturday, up from 210,504 doses the day prior.
