Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.

Sadly the largest U.S. international broadcaster, Voice of America (VOA) which provides news and information in 45 languages to an estimated audience of more than 280 million people weekly through its satellite, cable, FM and MW on a network of more than 2,500 affiliate stations since 1942, has shut down its most enriched Bangla radio broadcast service in a press release distributed on July 13, 2021. On Friday, health officials in Russia logged 25,704 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 5.9 million. Of the cumulative total, 89.7% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 799, the highest daily death toll than any other point in the pandemic.
The list of those who distinguished themselves in the four-week soccer tournament did not include England and its English fans. Yes, it is important to win in a sport that demands great technical skill, stamina, ability to follow a strategic plan, to move forward or retreat and be poised to seize opportunities all while being the ultimate team player.
