Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.

On Tuesday, health officials in Russia logged 23,770 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 6.0 million. Of the cumulative total, 89.6% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 784, brining the total number of fatalities to 149,992.
TORONTO – While the Ontario government has not disclosed its plan for the new school year that begins in six weeks, the Ontario Science Table has already drawn up what should be the guidelines for safe re-entry into classes. (more…)
TORONTO – July 20, 2021: Canada stood today at 1,424,033 positives for Covid-19, an increase of 430 more cases than in the previous 24 hours. The number of victims – nationwide – today reached 26,506 total deaths, 6 more than Monday. In Canada today the number of recovered people from the coronavirus stood at 1,392,951. Ontario today reached 548,474 overall positives, an increase of 127 new cases compared to Monday. (more…)
