In Ontario 1,588 new cases and 19 deaths

Canada reached a total of 1,340,416 positive cases yesterday, with an increase of 2,275 infections more than in the previous 24 hours. The victims – on a national scale – reached a total of 25,048 deaths yesterday, 30 more than on Tuesday. In Canada yesterday there was a total of 1,252,439 people who recovered from the coronavirus. Ontario yesterday reached an overall positive case count of 514,690, with an increase of 1,588 new cases compared to Tuesday, the lowest daily number of newly infected since March 24th. Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 8,525, with 19 additional patients dying. Furthermore, 112,759 cases have so far been registered in Ontario of the English variant of Covid, 683 of the South African variant and 2,059 of the Brazilian variant. The number of recovered patients in the province rose to 482,749, or 3,119 more than the previous 24 hours.
