In Ontario 411 new infected and 33 more deaths

TORONTO – June 9, 2021: Canada stood today at 1,396,030 positives for Covid-19, an increase of 1.015 more cases than in the previous 24 hours. The number of victims – nationwide – today reached 25,832 total deaths, 46 more than on Tuesday. In Canada today the number of recovered people from the coronavirus stood at 1,349,348. Ontario today reached 537,487 overall positives, an increase of 411 new cases compared to Tuesday, the lowest quota since last September 25. The total number of victims in Ontario has meanwhile risen to 8,920, with 33 more deaths than the previous day. The number of recovered people in the province rose to 521,743 or 932 more than the previous 24 hours. There are 134,608 cases so far registered in Ontario of the English variant of Covid, 1,125 of the South African variant and 4,073 of the Brazilian variant.

today there were 571 people still in hospital, 466 of them in intensive care and 314 connected to ventilators for assisted breathing. There are 19 retirement and long-term homes that continue to record cases of Covid-19. today there were 15,319 elderly patients infected in total since the beginning of the emergency and 3,962 total deaths so far recorded among guests of the same facilities. Until today, 7,115 health workers were infected in the same nursing homes and 11 died.

The city of Toronto has recorded, since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 168,401 positives today, with an increase of 117 cases compared to Tuesday. Meanwhile, there were 3,438 total deaths in the city, with 12 more new victims. 162,626 were found to be healed today. There were 706 people still in hospital, 203 in intensive care and 130 connected to ventilators for assisted breathing.

The York Region reached 52,254 total infections today, with 24 more positives than on Tuesday and 695 victims since the start of the pandemic, with 7 more deaths than the previous day. today, 51,294 people were recovered.

In the city of Vaughan, the total number of people who tested positive for Covid-19 was 21,652 today, with 16 more new infections than in the previous 24 hours. 276 deaths, with 4 more new deaths recorded today.

In Woodbridge today there were 9,285 total cases of positivity since the Covid-19 pandemic started, 6,691 in Maple, 7,440 in Richmond Hill and 12,479 in Markham.

In the Peel Region today there were 110,431 coronavirus positives, 134 more than the last survey and 771 total victims, with no more deaths than on the last bulletin. There were 108,846 healings recorded in total, while 3,048 people were hospitalized.

In Mississauga, the total number of people who tested positive for the coronavirus was 39,901 today, 52 more than last Tuesday. Also in Mississauga were today 438 victims so far, with no more deaths recorded, while there were 39,098 people recovered from Covid-19 and 1,454 people so far hospitalized due to the coronavirus.

In Brampton the total number of people positive for Covid-19 was today 65,813 with 77 new cases of contagion more than on Tuesday. 312 confirmed deaths, with one more victim since the last bulletin, while 65,089 were found to be healed today.
