TORONTO – After more than 100 days of lockdown, Toronto has moved into the gray zone of the classification introduced by the Ontario Government Keeping Ontario Safe and Open Framework (rules to keep Ontario safe and open). And with the partial relaxation of the restrictive measures, the order to “stay at home” in both Toronto and the Peel Region has also been lifted. “Toronto Public Health and Peel Public Health are making progress, but as their case rates remain high, they will return to the gray level for at least two weeks when the situation is revalued,” Premier Doug Ford said Friday. “This is not a return to normality – added Health Minister Christine Elliott, extinguishing enthusiasm – while we continue to vaccinate other Ontario residents, it remains essential for everyone to continue to follow public health measures and stay at home as much as possible to protect themselves, loved ones and their communities.” (more…)
