Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.

Globally, there have been over 126 million confirmed cases of Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 102 million people have recovered and more than 2.7 million fatalities were attributable to Covid-19.
[GTranslate]An earthquake, with a magnitude of 5.5 – 5.6, was recorded at 14.47 today, March 27. Following three other tremors recorded by the Ingv (National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology), with an epicenter in the open sea, 10 kilometers deep: the second at 15 of magnitude 4.1; the third, of 15.09, of 2.6, and the fourth of 15.12, of 3.4. The earthquake was felt above all in Puglia, Basilicata, Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Lazio and the Marche. (more…)
Terremoto nel Mar Adriatico: paura in tutta la costa orientale italiana. La scossa, di magnitudo fra 5.5 e 5.6, è stata registrata alle 14.47 di oggi, 27 marzo. A seguire altre tre scosse registrate dall’Ingv (Istituto nazionale di geofisica e vulcanologia), con epicentro in mare aperto, a 10 chilometri di profondità: la seconda alle 15 di magnitudo 4.1; la terza, delle 15.09, di 2.6, e la quarta delle 15.12, di 3.4. [GTranslate]TORONTO – With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 1.9 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. On March 27, the Ministry of Health reported 77,740 doses administered, down from 82,996 doses the day prior.
The number of Polish emigrants has doubled in recent years. The number of emigrants is now greatest during the rule of the PiS (Law and Justice) party. There is little unemployment in Poland, and yet emigration from Poland is very high. (more…)
