هیچ پرچم رنگین کمان پراید در مدارس کاتولیک منطقه هالتون برافراشته نخواهد شد. این تصمیم در جلسه فوق‌العاده نشست مسولان اموزش و پرورش منطقه هالتون با تاکید بر منع برافراشتن پرچم پراید در مدارس کاتولیک منطقه گرفته شد. حمایت از جامعه ایی با فرهنگ و تفکرات متنوع در ماه جون در مدارس کاتولیک منطقه، سرلوحه این حرکت بوده است که دبیر آموزش و پرورش و دبیر هیئت مدیره منطقه Pat Daly ، در جلسه اداره آموزش و پرورش ،خواهان برافراشتن پرچم پراید در ماه جوون در مدارس منطقه شده بود. نماینده شهر برلینگتون Brenda Agnew در پیشنهاد خود که در ۶ اپریل عرضه کرده بود درخواست فعالیتهای بیشتری در حوزه حمایت از ارزشها و تفکرات گروهای مختلف اجتماعی کرده بود. بخصوص در مورد ایجاد فضای امن برای ارائه پوسترهای گروههای مختلف فکری. با انجام این اقدامات دانش آموزان 2LGBTQ مورد حمایت قرار خواهند گرفت.
