Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.

JESI – Il poeta, scrittore e critico letterario Lorenzo Spurio ha redatto, nello scorso mese di maggio il “Manifesto a sostegno del popolo e degli intellettuali birmani”, e lo ha proposto a letterati e intellettuali, ricevendo numerose adesioni. Attualmente il Manifesto è stato sottoscritto da 84 personalità della cultura, italiane e straniere, annotate in calce al testo del Manifesto che riportiamo qui di seguito in un articolo scritto dallo stesso Lorenzo Spurio. TORONTO – In 2018, 835,175 Ontarians were recorded as “multiple property owners” by Statistics Canada. In July 2020, we were just getting over the First Wave and CTV was reporting: “Cottage real estate market heats up with more Canadians working remotely”. In April 2021, the Globe & Mail reported that “in Toronto, as many as 1 in 5 homeowners own more than one property”. (more…)
