Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.

On Friday, health officials in the US logged 89,582 new infections. Of the cumulative 41.6 million confirmed positive cases, 76.3% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 1,105, bringing the total number of fatalities to 675,760.

ROMA – Oggi, a Montecitorio, il Governo ha risposto ad un’interpellanza urgente dell’onorevole Fucsia Fitzgerald Nissoli (nella foto), deputata di Forza Italia eletta in Nord e Centro America, sulle criticità legate al Green Pass per chi ha fatto la vaccinazione all’estero, sia per i vaccini riconosciuti dall’Ema che per quelli non riconosciuti. “Una risposta che ritengo non soddisfacente – commenta la parlamentare ‘azzurra’ – perché non è entrata nei problemi cercando di individuare possibili soluzioni limitandosi a descrivere la situazione di fatto”. MONTREAL – Is Canada the most multiethnic and multicultural country in the world? Yes, at first glance. But then, if you don’t live here and try to enter, legally, you realize that the “Welcome to Canada” is just a beautiful fairy tale, especially in Quebec where you clash with harsh reality as happened to Giovanni Liotti, 23, student from Avellino who left Italy yesterday to visit a friend in Montreal and today was forced to leave for Italy after a seventeen-hour odyssey at the airport. With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 20.9 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. On September 10, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered 35,844 vaccine doses on Thursday, down from 38,391 doses the day prior.
