Status update of Covid-19 Cases worldwide

Here we provide a daily update of the data available for select countries and jurisdictions as of March 14, 2022, at 5:00 pm EST.

On Monday, health officials in Italy logged 28,900 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 13.4 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 91.3% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 129 Covid-related deaths for a total of 156,997 fatalities attributable to Covid-19. (more…)

End of the vaccination obligation in Ontario but it is controversial

TORONTO – Since today, Ontario has eliminated the vaccination obligation and policies that required testing for Covid-19 in schools, long-term care homes and hospitals.

ROMA – Quando fu eletto Presidente della Russia Putin, nel discorso di accettazione citando la caduta del muro di Berlino del novembre 1989, disse che si sarebbero evitati tanti problemi se l’Europa Orientale non fosse stata lasciata dai russi così frettolosamente. Egli era convinto che il più macroscopico errore che la Russia bolscevica avesse mai potuto commettere era stato quello di permettere l’indipendenza delle Repubbliche che gravitavano nell’orbita sovietica, soprattutto di quelle slave, creando “il più grande gruppo etnico del mondo, quello russo diviso da confini di Stato”.

Covid-19, no deaths in Ontario: it hadn’t happened for three months

TORONTO – For the first time in almost three months, Ontario today recorded no victims from (or with) Covid-19: the last time the province had reported “zero deaths” was last December 20. Therefore, the death toll in Ontario remains steady at 12,256 since the beginning of the pandemic, from which 489 deaths have recently been removed because they are not related to Covid-19. (more…)

Daily update of Ontario’s Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign

With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 31.8 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. According to data last updated on March 14, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered 6,602 vaccine doses on Sunday, down from, 15,142 doses the day prior.
