Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
OTTAWA – As Ottawa prepares for the arrival of the Veterans for Freedom tomorrow, Canada Day, according to information obtained by Radio-Canada and CBC, one of the judges who presided over the court hearings of the organizers of the Freedom Convoy received serious threats to the point of requiring police intervention.
TORONTO – By definition, in the political spectrum the center is the political space best equipped for conflict resolution. When the tensions that come from the right or the left become too pressing, it is in the center that the neutralization of the imbalance takes place: center understood as compromise, as a synthesis of theses and antitheses, as an exaltation of pragmatism that cripples the too ideologized extremities. Having made this premise, in the last thirty years in Canada, as in Italy and in the rest of the world, the hunt for the electorate of the center, the moderate one, considered hunting booty capable of undermining the balance of power between the parties, has begun.
TORONTO – It could be the first “normal” Canada Day, after two years of pandemic, with parties and parades everywhere, but it won’t. Nei sondaggi condotti un po’ in tutto il mondo sulle preferenze cromatiche, le tonalità di blu sono il colore preferito da una massiccia maggioranza del campione, regolarmente tra il 70 e l’80 per cento, un risultato incontrastato da quando i primi studi sistematici sull’argomento sono stati i condotti nei primi anni dell’Ottocento…
