All candidates who participated deserve a vote of thanks for having offered to be a part of a process that, in the final analysis, is an examination of what works and an assessment of how to improve what does not. They should ‘be at the ready’ because the results suggest a return match in short order… say twelve to eighteen months.

MASSA CARRARA – L’umiltà, in un mondo di fenomeni, è una virtù rara. Non capita spesso, quindi, di incontrare artisti veri, puri, come il toscano Carlo Del Nero (nella foto qui sopra) – massese, classe 1955 – che non osa definirsi tale nonostante lo sia a trecentossessanta gradi. Carlo è poeta, scrittore, pittore e cantautore, ma nella biografia del suo primo romanzo, in uscita a maggio, ha fatto scrivere: “…da sempre appassionato di musica e di pittura, si è cimentato saltuariamente in queste arti, per le quali resta pur sempre un semplice fruitore. Nel corso della sua vita si è dedicato principalmente alla poesia, una passione vissuta come necessità”…

TORONTO – Il celebre regista Ridley Scott, ora 87enne, è tornato a girare in Italia per il suo ultimo progetto, The Dog Stars. Era noto che Scott avesse intenzione di girare Il Gladiatore II nella leggendaria Cinecittà di Roma, ma che non fosse stato scelto a favore di un’altra serie TV basata sul Gladiatore, Those About to Die. Entrambe le produzioni si stavano girando contemporaneamente, il che ha costretto Scott a usare Malta come alter ego per l’Antica Roma. Fortunatamente, da ieri il regista è tornato a girare in Italia…
