The final editions in Vancouver and Toronto will be released tomorrow, January 16, while the newsrooms and offices will cease operations on January 31, according to a notice sent from the Hong Kong headquarters to all employees. According to the CBC, a letter from Ming Pao Newspapers (Canada) to the B.C. Labour Ministry says the business is being permanently closed “for financial reasons”.
