TORONTO – The outgoing premier of Ontario, Doug Ford, continues to focus on the theme of the economy and “defence from Ontario” and, commenting on yet another Trump announcement on new tariffs for steel and aluminium, he published a post on X complaining about the American President’s unpredictability: “This is the next four years. Shifting goalposts and constant chaos, putting our economy at risk” Ford wrote, adding the reason he called for an early provincial election: “I’m asking the people for a strong, stable, four-year mandate that outlasts the Trump administration to do whatever it takes, to always be ready to protect Ontario”… →

TORONTO – Truffle hunting season may be behind us, but Italian attention on the elusive fungi isn’t likely to fade until the David Di Donatello Awards in May. Twenty-eight-year-old Director Gabriele Fabbro, who in 2022 was named by Moviemaker Magazine as one of the top screenwriters to watch, is enjoying Award season buzz for his second film Trifole. The film’s October release in Italy spanned across 40 cinemas in Rome, Turin and Milan, and will likely hit U.S. theatres before this Spring.
