Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
Noon Marso 2020 nang binigkas ang pandemia nang “World Health Organization” ang tao ay nag bago nang kaugalian sa kanilang pagagailagan. Ang pag pupunta sa maga restauran, pag babakasion sa maga magagandang lugar, panunood nang maga pelikula sa malalaking sinehan ay na hinto. Na iba ang pinupuntahan nang kanilang kinikita sa pag trabaho sa bahay sa panibagon landas sa pag kumpuni nang kanilang bahay, sa pag gawa nang kanilang opisina sa bahay.
In March 2020, the World Health Organization declared the pandemic caused by Covid 19, forcing people to change their priorities. Trips to the restaurants, vacations to exotic places, watching movies in the big screen took a back seat. They redirected their money and whatever else they earned working from home to renovating their dwellings to double as an office and classroom, purchasing newer laptops and newer models of mobiles, putting new printers in their bedrooms to make for more efficient work output at home, getting gym equipment for fitness because gyms were closed, and furnishing their kitchens with mixers, blenders and juice extractors to make their lives livable during a pandemic. They alternated their meals from being prepared in their kitchen to ordering from restaurants, delivered by any one of the following: Uber Eats, Grab, Skip the Dishes, Foodora, Door Dash, to name a few. Lifestyles changed.
Sì, i pannolini per pappagalli esistono: su Internet ci sono dozzine di fornitori. C’è pure chi preferisce chiamarli più elegantemente “tute da volo”, anche se pare improbabile che il volatile possa staccarsi da terra così impacchettato. Ad ogni modo, questi accessori vengono incontro a una certa necessità di evitare che gli uccellini da casa sporchino troppo durante i loro momenti di libertà. Uno dei rivenditori spiega così i benefici del suo prodotto: “Semplice ed elegante, bello da indossare. Presenta cuciture squisite e pregevole fattura. Lascia che i tuoi uccelli vaghino per tutto il giorno senza che la casa venga completamente distrutta”…
TORONTO – Cosa devono fare i cittadini quando l’agenzia di stampa più costosa del Paese, finanziata con fondi pubblici, produce articoli che dovrebbero informare e istruire ma che, in alcuni casi, non fanno né l’una né l’altra cosa? Giudicate voi. Prendiamo come esempio l’articolo apparso sul sito web della CBC il 6 marzo: “Uomo, 69 anni, arrestato dopo l’aggressione sessuale a 2 persone nelle stazioni della metropolitana”…
