Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
VANCOUVER – Rossana Copler (nella foto sopra) – scrittrice, docente di lingua italiana e grande amante della letteratura in ogni suo genere – è la nuova coordinatrice del “Book Club” della Dante Alighieri Society della British Columbia (sito: https://www.dantesocietybc.ca), l’istituto che promuove nel mondo lo studio della lingua e della cultura italiana: quella di Vancouver è una delle 480 sedi situate al di fuori dell’Italia e opera attraverso la Dante Italian Language School di Vancouver.
TORONTO – Starting tomorrow, parents of children aged 5 to 11 can book an appointment to have their children given the Covid-19 vaccine. This was confirmed today by the Ministry of Health specifying that as early as November 25 – when clinics and immunization sites will begin to receive supplies of the vaccine for pediatric use – vaccinations could start. TORONTO – Tottenham, Bradford, Wasaga Beach, Orillia, Hamilton, Alliston, Innisfil, Barrie. These are some of the locations where today the availability of free places was offered for booking the second dose of vaccine to all those who live in hotspots in Ontario and who received the first dose before May 9. For Toronto residents, it’s a distance between 45 to 95 kilometres. (more…)
TORONTO – Breakthrough in the Covid-19 vaccination campaign in Ontario. Starting tomorrow, all adults living in Ontario will be able to book their vaccination appointment regardless of the area of the province in which they live. Until now, the minimum age limit did not apply only in the 114 areas of Ontario considered hotsposts, areas where the incidence of contagion was higher than in the rest of the province. (more…)
