Chinese interference, Dong (in tears) leaves the Liberals

TORONTO – Han Dong has thrown in the towel. The deputy of Chinese origin who fell into the storm of “interference” announced his resignation from the Liberals, today, in tears (in the pic above): he will therefore sit in the House of Commons as an independent deputy. “I will continue to serve the residents of Don Valley North (in Toronto, where he was elected, ed.) as an independent member of this House. I am taking these extraordinary steps because sitting on the government caucus is a privilege and my presence could be seen as a conflict” Dong said, adding that he will work to clear his name in the meantime.

Randy Hillier rilasciato: “In Canada è criminale avere opinioni diverse”

TORONTO – “Oggi, nel nostro Paese, avere dei punti di vista differenti o divergenti è apparentemente criminale”. È questa la presa di posizione di Randy Hillier (nella foto sopra) rilasciata ai giornalisti dopo essere stato liberato su cauzione. Il parlamentare provinciale dell’Ontario era stato arrestato sulla base di nove differenti capi d’imputazione, tutti relativi alla partecipazione alla protesta organizzata a Ottawa dal cosiddetto Freedom Convoy. Record snowfall in Mississauga, city plows leave residents “walled in”

Mississauga residents are still recovering after digging out of the first major snowfall in 2022. During the weekly press conference, Mayor Bonnie Crombie confirmed that many parts of the city experienced an accumulation of 45 cm of snow, the most in a single day since 1944. While residents went straight to work digging out their driveways and walkways, many would have to wait days until city plows dug out their street. (more…)
