Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.

TORONTO – For the first time, the average sale price of a single-family home in the city of Toronto has hit the $2 million mark, although there was a slight cooling in the region’s real estate market in February. Although it was the second busiest February ever recorded for home sales (9,097), there were 16.8% fewer deals than last year’s record month, but up 61.4% from the previous month.
TORONTO – It is the largest donation to help build the largest hospital in Canadian history. The Trillium Health Partners (THP) announced the $105 Million donation from the Peter Gilgan Foundation in a press release (February 15). The historic donation will help expand and redevelop facilities at two of THP’s three locations, the Mississauga Hospital and the Queensway Health Centre.

WINDSOR – A new hospital for Windsor-Essex: the Ontario government invests $ 9.8 million to support the planning of a state-of-the-art acute care facility in Windsor and Essex County and, once completed, the new hospital will add regional beds and services to ensure resident families have access to high-quality care when and where they need it.
