TTC diz que conclusão dos trabalhos entre St. George e St. Andrew permite eliminar até 100 encerramentos futuros ao fim de semana

A agência de transporte público de Toronto refere em comunicado (4 de junho) que o trabalho realizado durante os três encerramentos de 10 dias em parte da linha amarela do metro vai permitir eliminar entre 75-100 encerramentos planeados ao fim de semana nos próximos anos, bem como eliminar a necessidade de um desvio das estações Museum e Queen’s Park por até dois anos. TTC says completion of work between St. George and St. Andrew allows to eliminate up to 100 future weekend closures

The Toronto Transit Commission said in a news release (June 4) that work accomplished during the three 10-day shutdowns will allow the TTC to eliminate between 75-100 planned weekend closures over the next few years as well as eliminate the need to bypass Museum and Queen’s Park stations for up to two years. The latest in the series is St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, where eight students and three staff have been infected since the outbreak on February 27. Since yesterday, the school at 53 Gracefield Avenue in North York has been closed. “As you know, as far as Covid-19 is concerned, we follow the recommendations of Toronto Public Health – said the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) at CP24 – the school will be temporarily closed starting today. We believe that the tests are being finalized, and as soon as they are available, the details will be shared.” (more…)
