Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
Catholic school board trustees have a fiduciary duty to oversee the care of children whose parents entrust them to the publicly funded Catholic education system. It is a challenging job. Catholic ratepayers elect those trustees every four years with the expectation that the publicly elected board members protect, preserve and promote the Catholic education system.
It is their duty under the Law. The very same duty espoused in Catholic values that support faith formation. (more…)
On Friday, June 25, 2021, the number one news trending in Google was cryptocurrency. Ethereum, Dogecoin, BNB, XRP – sounding like names of planets, straight out of science fiction – were causing quite a stir, if not panic. At the centre of it all was Bitcoin. Bitcurious? The 52-week high of Bitcoin had been $64,863. At 9:06 am on Friday, June 25, 2021, it plummeted down to $33,100.54. Experts project that things are going get worse. (more…)
