Here we provide a daily update of the data available for select countries and jurisdictions as of May 17, 2021 at 5:00pm EST.

For the ninth day in a row, Ontario logged less than 3,000 new Covid-19 cases. In the last 24-hours, health officials recorded 2,170 new infections. Of the total confirmed positive cases in the province, 93% have recovered. Slightly better than Canada’s rate of 92.9%.

Daily Covid-related deaths increased by another 4 fatalities, the lowest single-day increase in the last eight weeks.

Here we provide a daily update of the data available for select countries and jurisdictions as of May 16, 2021 at 7:00pm EST.

On Sunday, the UK reported its lowest daily case count in just over one week. In the last 24-hours, health officials recorded 1,926 new infections. More that 96% of all confirmed positive cases in the country have recovered. The highest rate among most European countries.

Here we provide a daily update of the data available for select countries and jurisdictions as of May 11, 2021 at 5:00pm EST.

In the last 24-hours, India’s health officials recorded an additional 348,501 cases, a slight dip from record-highs of more than 400,000 daily new infections earlier month. Since yesterday, the country added another 4,200 Covid-related deaths, the highest single-day death count since the start of the pandemic.

Here we provide a daily update of the data available for select countries and jurisdictions as of May 9, 2021 at 4:45pm EST.

On Sunday, Poland reported an additional 3,852 new infections. Over the last two-days, the country’s health officials logged more than 560 new Covid-related deaths bringing total fatalities to over 70,012.
When taking into consideration, deaths per million of population, Poland’s rate of 1,851 is nearly three times that of Canada’s rate at 649.
