Covid is still scary, another 41 dead in Ontario. A new vaccine made in Canada: it’s plant-based

TORONTO – The hospitalizations decrease almost every day, the positivity rate as well but there is a number that never goes down, in the daily Covid-19 data: that of deaths. Today in Ontario, 41 were registered and, even if the Ministry of Health is keen to emphasize that most of these are “earlier” deaths, the data cannot fail to worry and in any case raises the tragic death toll in the province, from the beginning of the pandemic, to 12,347.  (more…)

In Ontario no immediate plan to scrap vaccine passport

TORONTO – Pressure on the government to ease anti-Covid restrictions and take another step towards what will be the post-pandemic normality. In the last twenty-four hours, numerous Canadian provinces have announced the setting aside of some measures to contain the pandemic, as well as in the rest of the world numerous governments have decided to eliminate some measures activated in the most acute phase of the Omicron wave.

Thousands sign up for 1st dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Quebec

TORONTO – It is nice to be an anti vaxxer, until they touch your wallet. It is a real boom in first doses of vaccine in Quebec two days after the announcement by Prime Minister Francois Legault on the provincial government’s intention to impose a financial penalty in the form of a “health tax” for Quebec adults who are unvaccinated and are not in possession of a valid medical exemption.

Mandatory vaccine: divisive issue, silence by the political class

TORONTO – Officially nobody is talking about of it. And this is because the issue – very topical – is hot and complicated and difficult to solve: a mix of explosive characteristics for the political class, which in these days has therefore preferred to stay behind the scenes, if not in some small case.
