Federal elections: Vuong remains, Dzerowicz wins at the photo finish

TORONTO – We are close to putting an end to these federal elections that have caused so much discussion and that have not changed the structure of the parties in the House of Commons. Today, Elections Canada said that most of the 850,000 mail-in ballots not counted on Monday evening were counted, although in various constituencies due to the head-to-head between the candidates it is still necessary to establish the exact outcome of the race. Italy wins 4×100 and karate and breaks its Olympic medal record

 

TOKYO – 6 August 2021, another historic day for Italian sport. In the men’s 4×100, with 37 “50 the Azzurri win gold in front of Great Britain (37” 51) and Canada (37 “70). Patta, Jacobs, Desalu and Tortu win a fantastic Olympic gold medal and for the Italia Team, after the other victories today (including gold in karate with Luigi Busà), is the 38th medal, an absolute record at the Olympic Games, which improves the 36 podiums obtained from the Azzurri’s expeditions of Los Angeles 1932 and Rome 1960. Luca Gaudiano (in the photo), a young singer-songwriter from Foggia, is the winner of the “Young” section: the thirty-year-old from Puglia won the final on Friday 5 March with the song “Polvere da sparo”, triumphing over the other three finalists Wrongonyou (with “Lessons in flight”), which won the Critics’ Award “Mia Martini”, Davide Shorty (with “Regina”) who was awarded the Press Office Award “Lucio Dalla” and Folcast (with “Discover yourself”).
