Ontario: now on Uber Eats you can order cannabis

TORONTO – No longer just pizzas, chips, chicken legs or ethnic foods: now on the Uber Eats app, in Ontario, you can also order cannabis. The news is announced by Uber Technologies Inc itself which, through its spokespersons, says it has presented a collaboration with a cannabis retailer, Tokyo Smoke, to allow purchases of “weed” through its home delivery platform.  (more…)

No other publication has been providing their readers with as extensive and detailed a picture of any constituency as her pieces have. Afghanistan, sos for stuck Canadians. “We will bring you home”

TORONTO – The question is: how many Canadians are still stuck in Afghanistan? The federal government will not disclose it. “Security reasons”. “Due to the security situation in Afghanistan, Global Affairs does not disclose the number of Canadians registered in the Canadian overseas registration database (Roca),” reads an e-mailed statement from a Global Affairs Canada (Gac) spokesperson to Global News, on Sunday night. And, above all, it is unknown if, how and when all these people (and with them the 20,000 Afghans that the government announced on Friday that it wants to welcome) will be able to “land” in Canada.  (more…)

Whoever coined the phrase “Aging is a gift” may still have all his marbles, so to speak, but any elderly, junior or senior, will agree with me when I say that keeping up appearances to possess these marbles is oftentimes a monumental task for the person.

As promised, on the last Thursday of each month, the Consul General of Portugal in Toronto, Dr. José Mendes will be present to inform the Portuguese community about the activities of the Consulate.
