TORONTO – L’autore canadese David Bezmozgis, finalista del premio Giller, ha appena terminato le riprese del suo terzo lungometraggio in Italia. L’autore e regista, noto per il suo romanzo del 2014 “I traditori“, ha diretto l’adattamento cinematografico in Puglia per tre settimane a giugno. Le scene sono state girate a Bari, Bitetto, Monopoli, Mola di Bari e Modugno, ma sono state doppiate in città straniere. I traditori racconta la storia di “un politico israeliano caduto in disgrazia che si trova faccia a faccia con l’uomo che lo ha denunciato al KGB e lo ha mandato al Gulag”…
TORONTO – Canadian author and Giller Finalist David Bezmozgis just wrapped on his third feature film in Italy. The author/filmmaker best known for his 2014 novel “The Betrayers”, directed the film adaptation in Puglia over three weeks in June. Scenes were shot in Bari, Bitetto, Monopoli, Mola di Bari and Modugno – but doubled for foreign cities. The Betrayers is about “A disgraced Israeli politician who comes face to face with the man who denounced him to the KGB and sent him to the Gulag”.
TORONTO – ICFF’s fourteenth edition of their annual Film Festival kicked off on Friday in Toronto’s Distillery District, with an open-air screening of Gabriele Salvatores’ Napoli New York. The audience was also treated to a pre-recorded interview with Salvatores and a live Q&A with one of the film’s stars, Omar Benson Miller.
