Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.

A new survey conducted by the Canadian Hub for Applied and Social Research at the University of Saskatchewan shows that more and more Canadians are moving away due to differences of opinion on various issues, many have even gone so far as to reduce contact with friends or family.
St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (SJHH) opens Ontario’s first Monoclonal Antibody Therapy Clinic. It is the first of its kind in the province, dedicated to treating outpatients with Covid-19 who are at a greater risk of severe illness, complications and hospitalization.
The Inter-American Institute of Human Rights (IIHR) joined indigenous and human rights organizations so that the government of Canada could investigate the cases of abuse and death of hundreds of indigenous children who disappeared from institutions run by the Catholic Church. (more…)
A new research program will distribute 50,000 free HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) self-testing kits across Canada to reach people who are undiagnosed and get them connected to care, with the goal of identifying factors that affect access to testing and care and ultimately, ending Canada’s HIV epidemic.
