Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.

TORONTO – This February, people across the North America celebrate Black History Month (BHM). This year marks its 26th celebration in Canada. The Carpenters District Council of Ontario (CDCO), one of the largest skilled trades unions in Ontario, is doing its part to promote awareness of BHM on job sites across the province.

A beautiful autumn morning greeted Durval Terceira, Local Union Co-ordinator for Local 1030, as he set out this past Saturday for the annual fundraising walk to support Renos for Heroes (R4H). Despite event organizers having to move the event to a virtual format for the second year due to the pandemic, it did not deter his commitment to support Canada’s military veterans on behalf of the Carpenters’ District Council of Ontario. A journey through Europe through 21 short films
The 8th edition of the European Union’s Annual Short Film Festival returns in virtual format for the second consecutive year.
