Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – More than 300 victims of sexual exploitation of minors have emerged from the “dark web”, i.e. the “hidden” internet, where online crimes are committed, often horrific such as child pornography: they were discovered by an international coalition of forces of the order, including the Canadian ones, which have worked in synergy to vanquish the terrible “traffic”. TORONTO – Slight drop in hospitalizations today in Ontario, but still many deaths: 14, bringing the total number of victims related to Covid-19, from the beginning of the pandemic, in Ontario, to 13,034.
TORONTO – The “swing” of Covid hospitalizations continues: one day they drop, the next day they increase, and so on. Today in Ontario is the day of the decline: from the 1,734 yesterday to the 1,661 today. 202 patients in intensive care compared to 211 on Wednesday. The positive note is that there is a constant good data (at least so far) and it is that of the decline in active and known cases: today 31,464 against 31,675 on Wednesday (32,747 on Tuesday, 33,905 on Monday and 34,520 on Sunday). TORONTO – Covid-19: 9 other deaths today in Ontario, in addition to 20 on Saturday and 14 on Friday: therefore 43 victims over the weekend. Now the total death toll in the province since the start of the pandemic is 12,256. (more…)
TORONTO – Today, the number of Covid-19 patients in the intensive care units in Ontario has fallen again: now they are 474 (compared to 486 on Monday), the lowest number since last January 10, when 438 people were admitted to the ICU. (more…)
