On Saturday, health officials in Russia logged 24,439 new infections, number not seen since January of this year. Of the cumulative 5.5 million confirmed positive cases, 90.5% are considered recovered. Since yesterday, Covid-related deaths increased by nearly 697, bringing the country’s total fatalities to 137,262.
Globally, over 182 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 168 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 3.9 million worldwide.
Spain has not updated status of Covid-19 cases since July 2, 2021.
