On Friday, health officials in Mexico logged 11,808 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 3.6 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 82.1% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 748, bringing the total number of fatalities to 274,139.
Globally, over 230 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 208 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.7 million worldwide.
According to health officials in Ontario, in addition to the 8 Covid-related fatalities reported on September 24, three death occurred more than one month ago.
