On Sunday, health officials in the UK logged 45,140 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 8.4 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 81.9% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 57, bringing the total number of fatalities to 138,584.
Globally, over 240 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 218 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.8 million worldwide.
Spain has not updated status of Covid-19 cases since October 15, 2021.
