On Wednesday, health officials in Germany logged 68,468 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 6.3 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 82.4% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 568 Covid-related deaths for a total of 104,929 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 267 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 241 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.2 million worldwide.
