On Saturday, health officials in Russia logged 86,769 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 16.8 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 85.5% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 750 Covid-related deaths for a total of 355,537 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 444 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 377 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.9 million worldwide.
