On Thursday, health officials in Russia logged 4,065 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 18.2 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 96.6% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 111 Covid-related deaths, for a total of 377,359 fatalities were attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 519 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 474 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.2 million worldwide.
The status of Covid-19 cases in India, Spain, Mexico, Portugal, Philippines, Canada, Bangladesh and the UK do not reflect complete data for May 12, 2022.
