Amid the world’s largest religious festival celebrations, India reaches another record high of Covid-19 cases. The country’s health officials reported 260,778 new infections in the last 24-hours. That is the highest single-day increase since the onset of the pandemic.
Globally, there have been over 140 million confirmed cases of Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 119 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 3 million worldwide.
Spain has not updated cases numbers since April 16, 2021.
