The situation in India remains dire as day over day, the country experiences record setting daily spikes. The country’s health officials reported 271,566 new infections in the last 24-hours with an additional 1,575 Covid-related deaths, numbers not seen since the onset of the pandemic.
Globally, there have been over 140 million confirmed cases of Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 120 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 3 million worldwide.
