On Saturday, health officials in Germany logged 49,311 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 5.7 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 83.6% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 170 Covid-related deaths for a total of 101,340 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 261 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 236 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.1 million worldwide.
Spain has not updated the status of Covid-19 cases since November 26, 2021.
