Medical supplies from Canada arrive in India bringing much needed aid to help the country’s overwhelmed healthcare system and to help curb the onslaught of new infections in the country. Over the last two-days, health officials in India logged more than 800,000 new infections with an additional 8,300 Covid-related deaths.
The first shipment of emergency medical supplies from Canada arrived in India, bringing 25,000 vials of Remdesivir and 50 ventilators.
Globally, over 157 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 136 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 3.2 million worldwide.
