On Sunday, health officials in India logged 43,368 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 32.7 million. Of the cumulative total, 97.5% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 527, bringing the total number of fatalities to 438,387.
Globally, over 216 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 194 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.4 million worldwide.
Spain has not updated status of Covid-19 cases since August 27, 2021.
Bangladesh has not updated status of Covid-19 cases since August 28, 2021.
Poland has not reported any Covid-related fatalities on August 29, 2021.
