On Sunday, health officials in Russia logged 40,993 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 8.5 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 86.4% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 1,158 Covid-related deaths for a total of 238,538 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 246 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 224 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.9 million worldwide.
Spain has not updated the status of Covid-19 cases since October 29, 2021.
