On Tuesday, health officials in Spain logged 6,777 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 5.1 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 96.2% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 34 Covid-related deaths for a total of 87,866 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 258 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 234 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.1 million worldwide.
