On Tuesday, health officials in the UK logged 94,326 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positiv4e cases passed 16.0 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 77.8% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 439 Covid-related deaths for a total of 154,356 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 357 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 285 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.6 million worldwide.
