On Tuesday, health officials in the UK logged 61,900 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 19.3 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 93.7% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 212 Covid-related deaths for a total of 162,359 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 448 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 383 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.0 million worldwide.
