On Friday, health officials in Russia logged 34,442 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 17.5 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 91.6% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 524 Covid-related deaths for a total of 363,563 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 466 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 398 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.0 million worldwide.
