On Tuesday, health officials in Russia logged 5,466 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 18.2 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 96.5% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 125 Covid-related deaths for a total of 376,292 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 514 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 469 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.2 million worldwide.
