On Thursday, health officials in the Philippines logged 6,483 new infections bringing the total caseload to more than 1.2 million since the start of the pandemic. Of that cumulative total, 94.3% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, the Department of Health reported an increase of 210 Covid-related deaths.
Globally, over 168 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 151 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 3.5 million worldwide.
Portugal has not updated fatalities in the last 24-hours.
