Omofobia, il Vaticano contro il disegno di legge Zan: “A rischio la libertà di pensiero dei cattolici”

Per la prima volta, il Vaticano chiede ufficialmente al governo italiano di modificare un disegno di legge, appellandosi al Concordato, il “patto” che regola i rapporti tra lo Stato italiano e la Chiesa cattolica. Il ddl in questione è quello nato su iniziativa del deputato Pd Alessandro Zan e che è sotto i riflettori da mesi in Italia in quanto, secondo più parti politiche, metterebbe a rischio la libertà di espressione prevedendo pene severe per opinioni inquadrabili come offese fondate “sul sesso, sul genere, sull’orientamento sessuale o sull’identità di genere”. ROMA – “Questi momenti difficili rappresentano un forte richiamo per tutti noi, per allontanarci dal modello colonizzatore e anche dalle colonizzazioni ideologiche di oggi”: Papa Francesco è intervenuto così, al termine dell’Angelus di oggi in piazza San Pietro a Roma, sul caso della fossa comune 215 di bambini indigeni scoperta nei terreni dell’ex scuola Kamloops Indian Residential School, una scuola cattolica nella provincia della Columbia Britannica in Canada aperta alla fine dell’Ottocento per avviare i piccoli indigeni all’educazione °bianca° e chiusa nel 1978. Niente scuse, dunque, come aveva chiesto il premier Justin Trudeau. Ma a presentarle ci ha pensato il cardinale Thomas Christopher Collins (nella foto), arcivescovo di Toronto, durante la messa domenicale, che ha parlato proprio di “apologies” per quanto accaduto.
