On Sunday, health officials in Russia logged 21,624 new infections pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 6.6 million. Of the cumulative total, 89.1% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 816, bringing the total number of fatalities to 170,499.
Globally, over 207 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 186 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.3 million worldwide.
