On Monday, health officials in the UK logged 41,192 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 7 million. Of the cumulative total, 80.3% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 45, bringing the total number of fatalities to 133,274.
Globally, over 220 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 198 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.5 million worldwide.
Due to the holiday Monday in Canada, the status of Covid-19 cases in Canada and Ontario were not updated on September 6, 2021.
Poland did not report any Covid-related fatalities on September 6, 2021.
